Package Leaflet User Testing

A client required user testing of its Package Leaflet (PL) in order to gain the MA and subsequently roll out a ‘house style template’ for future “bridging” of its other PLs for its existing and pending MA portfolio.

The user test was successfully completed, with the MA receiving approval accordingly.

The user test was conducted remotely using video conferencing technology due to the covid-19 pandemic restrictions preventing face-to-face interviews, which was an unprecedented method, proposed by Regulink and agreed to by the MHRA.

The Solution

Regulink had in-house experience with PL user testing and was able to rely on this to design, recruit and conduct the study in the timeframe required.

The core team was bolstered by further internal support, notably a pharmacist with experience working with the public and patient information.

Although the covid-19 pandemic posed additional and unforeseen challenges to recruitment and conducting the study, it was achieved without disruption to the client’s launch plan for the MA.

The Outcome

With the successful completion of the study, the client has been able to implement the ‘style’ of the PL across its range of products and intends to follow the template for its future MAs in development. This has significantly reduced the burden for user testing, through “bridging” reports.
